Helen McCartin - The Purple Orange

About Helen McCartin

Helen McCartin’s love for the fashion & image business started as a young child. Her story began when her family owned a clothing factory called Glen Prince Textiles in Newtowngore, County Leitrim, Ireland where they manufactured for Primark, Littlewoods, Debenhams, Arnott’s and Dunnes Stores. Helen worked in every area of the factory from design to the cutting table, to finishing and packaging.

Helen went on to study Fashion Design for three years full-time, achieving a higher diploma. She then enjoyed working as a bridal designer for a number of years before moving into retail, and later, completed a diploma in Fashion Buying, Merchandising and Visual Display.

Helen is regularly called upon as a stylist, personal shopper and as a consultant in store merchandise planning and was featured as a Visual Merchandiser and Shop Layout Consultant on Feargal Quinn’s Retail Therapy, as shown on RTÉ One TV.
